SNAKE DAVIS & THE BURDEN OF PARADISE
THIS project sees Snake teaming up with singer Helen Watson. Hailing from Manchester, Helen has a unique style and strong distinctive voice, crossing the boundaries between jazz, blues, soul and folk. The two first worked together many years ago when Snake played on Helen’s Blue Slipper album, which also featured Albert Lee and members of Little Feat. They made various TV appearances together and toured Europeopening up for Joe Cocker.
The line-up also includes Dave Bowie on double bass and guitarist Mark Creswell playing great songs, with poignancy, passion and lots of fun. The band play an eclectic mix of material from sources as diverse as Bob Dylan, The Loving Spoonful, Paul Simon and Free.
Tickets: £10 |
