CHOIR BIOGRAPHY
The Vista Murrieta High School Chamber Choir is in its fourth year of existence. These talented students have had the opportunity and challenge of beginning a new program at the newest high school in Murrieta, California. The singers have participated in California Heritage Festivals, as well as Southern California Vocal Association and local invitational festivals, and have received “Superior” rankings. The choirs have toured California, New York City, and Hawaii. Each year the singers have performed numerous concerts at the school and around the community. The VHMS Chamber Choir performs a large variety of music including classical music, madrigals, contemporary and multicultural literature, as well as Broadway music.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY
Vista Murrieta’s Choir Director, Jennifer Page, is in her 13th year of teaching choral music, and her 5th year at VHMS. She is a graduate of Biola University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Jennifer enjoys the opportunity she has been given to enrich the lives of her students through encouraging their pursuit of music. Mrs. Page insists that good choral music is more than simply an art form, and has become a passion that she desires to pursue and pass on to her students. Participating in an international competition in Wales the summer before her junior year of high school sparked her interest in pursuing choral music as a career. She desires to instil in her students this same love of music and encourage them on towards excellence in all that they do. Mrs. Page has a very supportive husband and 2 elementary school age children.
