Risby Park Fishing Ponds opend in 1990 and boasts 4 well-stocked fishing ponds. The fish are kept in top condition and the ponds are suitable for both young and old anglers. Tuition is available if required.
The four ponds consist of:

Gillen Springs (the carp pond) - stocked with mirror, common and ghost carp, tench, break, road and perch.

The Gorse (the tench pond) - stocked with tench, chub and roach (particularly suitable for the younger angler).

Folly Lake - stocked with carp, tench, skimmers/bream, roach and perch.

Orchard Pond - the latest pond to be opened and initially stocked with carp
Facilities on site include:
Risby Park Fishing Ponds stock a range of baits and these include their own label products and these are available from the Folly Lake Cafe during opening hours.
The licenced Folly Lake Cafe is open daily in season from 8 a.m. and is the perfect place to meet up with friends, take a relaxing break or to visit and enjoy the lakes. The cafe serves a selection of hot and cold food and drink throughout the day.
Risby Park Fishing Ponds is situated along the Beaver Trail which is part of the Beverley 20 and High Husley circuits. Walks are mainly along field side paths, tracks and parklands and can be started from Risby Park, Beverley, Skidby or Walkington

8am - 9pm in Summer
9am - 7pm in Winter
Ticket Prices
Adult day ticket £6.00
OAP/Concession/Junior £4.00
Tickets are issued throughout the day on the bank side and to get started, please just turn up and choose one of the 120 pegs currently available. (Please check first to avoid any booked fishing matches)
Evening Open Fishing Matches every Wednesday. Draw in the Folly Cafe 4.30pm - 5pm.
