Starting up your own business, especially for women, can seem a daunting task - Women’s Enterprise in the Humber is based in Hull and is a free programme designed to help women by offering personal and business support.
The project has been designed to offer a programme of flexible financial and business support to both new and potential women entrepreneurs within the Objective 2 eligible postcode areas of the Humber. It is targeted towards those looking to enter self-employment in Hull or those in business in Hull for less than 36 months.
So what can Women's Enterprise in the Humber offer to women looking to set up in business in Hull?

A wide variety of workshops which last half a day and are designed give you a taste of different subjects including, who and what are entrepreneurs, what skills and personal traits do you require, and help with generating business ideas.

For those who are thinking about starting their own business, or are already in business, Women's Enterprise in the Humber offer a series of free informative workshops covering a wide range of relevant subjects

Personal and business support to beneficiaries of this programme from a bank of women mentors.

Depending on the individual level of support you may require or want, one to one business support can be provided either in the form of meetings or follow up telephone calls and/or emails.

Start up or developments up to a maximum grant of £300 or 50% of total, will be available to registered clients who have attended at least two workshops. These grants are payable on receipt of invoice.
