With classes in Hull, or in the comfort of your own home in East Yorkshire, Oakwood Canine Services are dog trainers who offer friendly and effective tuition on all aspects of dog training and dog behaviour. From simple problems such as jumping up and chewing through to barking, aggressive behaviour or teaching your dog to be happy when left alone, Oakwood Canine Services will help.
The owner, Gill Williams, is an ADTB Approved Instructor, a Pet Nutrition Counsellor, a Qualified Micro-chipper, a Non-Accredited Member of the KC Accredited Instructors Scheme as well as a Full Member of PAACT.
All dog training methods which Gill uses are positive and reward-based which means no choke chains are used, the dogs are not yanked around or shouted at, all of which makes for happier training and more confident, friendly dogs.
Oakwood Canine Services provide dog training classes at their own Dog Training Centre at Unit 17D Lake Enterprise Park, Bergen Way, Sutton Fields in Hull, as well as 1-2-1 training in the comfort of your own home at a time which suits you.
The dog training classes contain a maximum of 5 dogs which allows for quieter training and more 1-2-1 time with dogs and their owners. Exercises covered include walking nicely on the lead, coming back to you when called, greeting people without jumping up as well as many more. Classes are available for puppies, junior and adult dogs and are all held in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Oakwood Canine Services are Kennel Club Listed, which means they have reached the high standards expected of dog trainers which will enable you to work towards the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Certificates from puppy to gold level.
Also available is a Doggy Day-care facility as well as a large outside training area for Agility and Flyball classes. Oakwood Canine Services also offer Growl Classes for dogs with more extensive problems.
They cover the whole of Hull and the surrounding area and are recommended by Pets at Home, Chants Vets and Vets4Pets, with their recommendations growing daily.
