Beverley Folk Festival planning for 2018

It may still be the height of the Festival Season but Beverley Folk Festival has already started to plan for what will be its 35th annual festival in 2018.

The latest artists booked for 2018 are the acclaimed Danish Group Habadekuk. A high energy group that mix folk music with rock, salsa and big band jazz. Expect the unexpected as this eight-man band roar through jigs, waltzes, reels and songs that have thrilled audiences from Canada to Finland. Fiddler Krtistian Bugge won a Danish ‘grammy’ as musician of the year in 2016 and one of the bands dreams came true when they appeared at Glastonbury in 2015.

Festival programmer Kelly Foley commented “Habadekuk were a terrific success with our audiences when they appeared at our 2012 festival so it is time to bring them back. They will really ‘deliver the bacon’ and continue our tradition of bringing folk music from around the world to Beverley.”

Other artists already announced for 2018 are the Lucy Ward Band, Calan and Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar.

Early Bird tickets saving a massive £30 off full price are already available for 2018 – visit  www.beverleyfestival.com/

With more artists to be announced over the coming months, everything is shaping up to be a 35th anniversary party to remember!
